Who is behind this?
Due to the inadequate, slow, and generally poor quality of Internet services being offered by the large cable and phone companies to the city of Columbus, a true fiber optic network capable of gigabit class speeds with the utmost reliability is needed. With the blessing of the City of Columbus and Public Works department, who have granted access and permits for this fiber optic network, Hoosier Fiber Networks is able to develop and construct the community network. The network construction is funded with the help of private funds so that no tax dollars were used.
